Doug is very active in the Education For Ministry program and the Inquirer's Class. He received his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1965 and his D. Min. in 1984. His interests include bagpipes and anything Scottish! He and his wife, Nina, recently celebrated the arrival of their first grandchild, Dillon.

How can the God of punishment, as often portrayed in the Old Testament, be reconciled with the concept of a God of love?
