        Mary
        Cour Burrows
        Artist
      Memphis, TN

        "Painting
large"—be it commissioned equestrian portraits or wall-sized
murals—is a particular passion of Memphis artist Mary Cour Burrows.
Since receiving her B.F.A. from the University of Memphis in 1987, she
has created original pieces for clients such as The Memphis Botanic Garden,
Tennessee Environmental Commission, Wildlife Manor Hounds and a great
many private residences. She has painted ceilings, cars, doors, doghouses,
hot tubs, beds, tables, skulls, bathtubs, counter tops, floors and litter
boxes. In her personal work, she loves to incorporate found objects and
all types of mixed media. Mary is also an accomplished equestrian and
dancer. She lives in a 100-year-old family farm house with way too many
animals, three incredibly creative children and one extremely patient
husband. To see more of Mary Cour's work, visit www.marycour.com
