Stephen R. Haynes is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Rhodes College, where he has taught since 1989. He is also Parish Associate at Idlewild Presbyterian Church in Memphis. Prof. Haynes serves on the regional advisory board for Facing History and Ourselves and is a member of the Church Relations Committee of the US Holocaust Memorial Council. His books include Noah's Curse: The Biblical Justification for American Slavery (Oxford, 2002) and The Bonhoeffer Phenomenon: Portraits of a Protestant Saint (Fortress, 2004).
